'The Fighter' marks the latest EP and Hush Hush debut from Nühn, an alias of Spanish sound artist Julio Gutiérrez. Based in the scenic coastal town of Blanes, his music carries a warm yet mysterious personality throughout. A self-taught musician, Nühn's music is grounded by cinematic piano melodies that are enhanced with layers of textural synths, shuffling percussion, and enveloping atmospherics. "Brittle" is the lone track to feature his own vocals, a passionate and genuine addition to his sublime productions.
A quietly prolific artist that has previously released music on Italy's Bad Panda Records and also runs the boutique Komponent Music label, Julio's latest EP marks his strongest material to date and a taste of what's to come in the future.
