Burbank, California electronic producer Wyatt Baer (aka w. baer) follows up his mesmerizing debut full-length album 'Spalting' with this equally absorbing long-form EP of heavy, cinematic beats. Titled after the Japanese term for the awareness of impermanence, or transience of things, and a gentle sadness about this harsh yet honest reality, 'Mono no aware' continues w. baer’s focus on creating intimate, cathartic, intentionally-damaged soundscapes. Rough edges, gauzy atmospherics, and distorted vocal samples carry throughout, yet flickers of hope emerge at unexpected moments. An honest attempt to turn personal catharsis, gut reactions, and an acceptance of our fleeting energy into something sonically tangible and emotionally beautiful, 'Mono no aware' further carves a unique and distinctive lane for this emerging producer.
